The Bay Area Panthers are receiving a veteran playmaker in 2025 by the name of Tosin Oyekanmi. A six-foot wideout, Oyekanmi brings experience most recently from the Indoor Football League’s Northern Arizona Wranglers.
Oyekanmi has one IFL campaign under his belt, spending 2024 with Northern Arizona and current-Panthers offensive coordinator Rod Windsor and quarterback Josh Jones. During that season, Oyekanmi logged 18 receptions for 203 yards and six touchdowns, leaving him with a blazing 30% scoring rate as a Wrangler.
Prior to playing professionally, Oyekanmi was a standout at Long Island University. He played for the Sharks from 2019 to 2022. His best year came in 2021 when he produced 27 catches for 368 yards and one score. He also added 34 rushing yards.
In total, Oyekanmi competed for Long Island in 33 games throughout four seasons. He registered 81 receptions, 1,052 receiving yards and six total tuddies. Oyekanmi graduated from LIU with multiple degrees in Business, earning his masters in 2023.
Oyekanmi—a native New Yorker—also brings playing experience from Brooklyn’s ASA College. Additionally, he competed on the gridiron for Fork Union Military Academy in a postgraduate year.
As a prepster, Oyekanmi attended Christ the King High School in Middle Village, NY. He grew up in nearby Queens, and thrived for the Royals both as a student-athlete.
In football, Oyekanmi scored 14 touchdowns in two seasons. His junior campaign at Christ the King was particularly impressive, featuring 30 catches for 674 yards and eight TDs.
Panthers Head Coach Rob Keefe is thrilled to have Oyekanmi on the 2025 roster. “Tosin has quick feet to slip press coverage; his routes are fast and maintain their momentum through turns, and he tracks and catches the deep ball effectively,” Coach Keefe told BayAreaPanthers.com.
Given Oyekanmi’s skill set and experience in this league, expect his to make a difference for this franchise—both on and off the turf.
