Wide receiver Arsiah “RZ” McCorker returns for his second Indoor Football League campaign, albeit, to a new franchise. After a dazzling year with the Northern Arizona Wranglers, McCorker joins the Bay Area Panthers for 2025.
McCorker comes to the Panthers by way of Northern Arizona along with current-Panthers quarterback Josh Jones and offensive coordinator Rod Windsor. Immediately, the 5-foot-10 wideout from Jacksonville, FL will be in a favorable spot and familiar scheme under Bay Area Head Coach Rob Keefe.
Throughout 2024 with the Wranglers (15 games), McCorker provided jaw-dropping plays of all sorts. On offense, he compiled 42 catches for 624 yards (14.9 YPR) and 11 touchdowns. As a returner, RZ flashed for 845 yards and two additional scores.
Last year, one of McCorker’s top single-game outputs showed up on the special-teams side. In the 2024 season opener, McCorker shined en route to 149 return yards and two tuddies versus the Arizona Rattlers. His explosive performance put the entire league on notice, as he earned IFL Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
McCorker—a Kinesiology major—played his college ball at Edward Waters University (Jacksonville, FL) and Shaw University (Raleigh, NC). With the EWU Tigers in 2023, McCorker hauled in 21 receptions for 338 yards and three touchdowns. While at Shaw in 2022, he logged 112 all-purpose yards for the Bears.
RZ also brings JUCO playing experience. From 2019 to 2020, he was a dynamic contributor on the gridiron for Compton College. Over 13 total contests with the Tartars, McCorker produced 1,160 all-purpose yards and nine scores.
As a prepster, McCorker attended and played at Jacksonville’s Sandalwood High School, starring all over the field for the Saints. He is true Duval County; that is reflected in his chippy and fast style of play.
Outside of football, McCorker’s passions are being a father, working out and coaching. Expect to see him blazing around the turf at San Jose’s SAP Center in 2025.
