Wide receiver Kurtis Ravenel Jr. joins the Bay Area Panthers for the stretch run of the 2025 Indoor Football League regular season and upcoming playoffs.
Ravenel is a 5-foot-10 playmaker with deep collegiate experience. Previously, he competed for four years at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania (2021-2024).
A consistent force for the Golden Bears, Ravenel saw action in 46 total games at Kutztown. His most prolific campaign was 2023 wherein he posted 57 catches for 842 yards and five receiving touchdowns. From there, Ravenel added 441 yards and a score in the return game en route to First-Team All-PSAC honors.
Ravenel also earned various academic distinctions while at KU. Prior to graduating with a MBA in 2024, he attained his Sports Management degree in 2023. As well, Ravenel was designated as an All-Conference scholar athlete in 2021.
For his prep days, Ravenel played for his home borough at Carlisle High School within Pennsylvania’s Cumberland Valley. He lettered in football and basketball for the Bison, graduating in 2018.
Away from the gridiron, Ravenel is currently pursuing a career in virtual sales. Leisurely, he enjoys golfing, working out and spending time with family.
With the Panthers most pivotal games of 2025 still ahead, look for Ravenel to make contributions in crunchtime (especially in up-tempo scenarios). He’ll dawn jersey No. 8 going forward.
