Offensive lineman Ethan Hagler is joining the Indoor Football League for the 2025 season, signing with the Bay Area Panthers. Standing at 6-foot-2, 305 pounds, the Division-I product possesses quality size while boasting deep experience along the interior.
Prior to landing with the Panthers, Hagler was a two-time team captain at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX.
Hagler started 50 contests over five years (2020-2024) for Sam Houston, logging the majority of his playing time at center while seeing brief action at offensive guard. He also earned four All-Conference designations before graduating with a degree in Construction Management.
In 2024, Hagler and the Bearkats defeated Georgia Southern 31-26 in the 2024 New Orleans Bowl–a season wherein he was named to the All-CUSA Second Team.
Hagler arrived at Sam Houston after competing in one JUCO campaign for Blinn College. He was a solidified force for the Buccaneers in 2019. Upon leaving high school for Blinn, Hagler was selected for JC Gridiron’s Preseason All-American team.
Hagler—a native of Baytown, TX—played his prep ball at Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu. He dominated the line of scrimmage from both sides for the Eagles. His senior campaign finished with all-district honors as a defensive lineman while his junior-year performance brought back all-district honors on offense.
Joining Bay Area in the midst of the 2025 season, Hagler is looking to make his IFL debut for a Panthers’ squad that has legitimate title aspirations. Professionally, he is represented by Aidan Hickey at The Gridiron Crew.
