Malcolm Goines

Malcolm Goines comes to the Bay Area Panthers in 2025 as the new Defensive Line & Pass Rush Specialist. Goines brings a thoroughly established football pedigree to Bay Area, having recently spent time with the Indoor Football League’s Frisco Fighters.

While with the Fighters, Goines served as co-defensive coordinator for the 2024 campaign. Frisco surrendered only 44.8 PPG last year, which ranked ninth of 17 teams.

Prior to that, Goines was an on-field force for the Fighters, earning All-IFL honors in 2021. Goines’ indoor football career dates back to 2016. In 2019, he was a significant contributor for the Sioux Fall Storm en route to a league title.

Collegiately, Goines was a standout at both defensive end and defensive tackle for Austin Peay State University. The 6-foot-2 gamewrecker played three seasons for the Governors, posting 63 total tackles with 7 TFL from 2012 to 2014.

Goines—a Tennessee native—started his prep career at Red Bank High School located just outside Chattanooga. As a member of the Lions, he dominated the local football circuit before moving on to play at Grand Rapids Community College for one year.

Panthers Head Coach Rob Keefe is overjoyed to have Goines aboard the 2025 staff. “[Goines] is an energetic, knowledgeable, and personable coach who embodies the servant leadership qualities we value in this organization,” Coach Keefe told BayAreaPanthers.com last February.

Coach Goines will work directly with HC Keefe and co-defensive coordinator Jubenal Rodriguez to ensure the D-line’s prowess. After all, defense is the “bread & butter” for this current Bay Area regime.
