Bay Area Panthers

Andrew DeLa Cruz is back with the Bay Area Panthers as Head of Football Athletic Performance for the 2025 campaign. He joined the Panthers in 2023, as was a member of the championship team.

A San Jose native, DeLa Cruz graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School in 2007. From there, he attended Notre Dame de Namur University, where he competed for the Argonauts in track & field.

Aside from working with the Panthers, DeLa Cruz owns and operates XIOS Strength & Conditioning in Gilroy, CA. Their focus is on each athlete’s performance, training and recovery pertaining to sports-specific functions.

DeLa Cruz’ reach extends well outside the world of football. He’s also spent time as a USA Weightlifting national coach and a USATF Paralympic coach for the Tokyo 2020 Trials. 

When asked about his personal philosophy, DeLa Cruz told Get Sports Focus, “Whether it’s on the field or in life, I want to create champions.” He’ll be a part of Head Coach Rob Keefe’s staff for a third consecutive season.
