Panthers re-sign standout linebacker Wes Bowers

One of the pillars of last season's IFL Championship returns with the re-signing of linebacker Wes Bowers.

In his first IFL season out of Bowie State, Bowers finished fifth on the team in tackles, including 8.5 tackles for loss, ranking second on the team.  He added two interceptions and two fumbles recoveries with his scoop-and-score accounted for the first points in the road game at Frisco.  

Bowers played three years at Georgetown University where he was named All-Conference and an FCS Sophomore All-American in 2018. He went on to play at Bowie State Becoming a CIAA Champion.

Expressing his excitement to return, Wes Shared, "It's an honor to be back with the amazing organization of the Bay Area Panthers! I'm excited for another opportunity to showcase my talents and skills with a great staff, front office, and the team, my brothers. Bay Areaaaa! To our fans, I love you and and we're back! The work is getting done, and we will see you all in March. Thank God for this Opportunity; I can't wait to make my family, friends, and Panther Nation proud as we fight day in and day out to achieve our goals. Let's empty the tank and get the jungle jumping again. Go Panthers!"

Wes' return adds strength and determination to our lineup, and we cannot wait to see him back in action!
